Barbuda Cottages

Whad Up Fam:

After years of hard work and dedication I’m proud to announce that my oldest sister Kelcina and her husband Oliver have nearly completed the construction of the 3 bedroom beach villa.  It’s grand opening is scheduled for March 1st.  This villa is located in Barbuda right beside my fathers beach bar, Uncle Roddys.  This is history because Barbuda has never had a fully solar powered villa on the beach owned by Barbudans.  The villa will give tourist a chance to live in luxury at an affordable price.  Previously you would have had to spend over $1000usd a night to stay at one of the 2 exclusive resorts on the island. Here is the website link for the villa barbudacottages.com. Now that the villa is almost complete the next phase is to expand the beach bar.  My father and I are busy putting our heads together to come up with the expansion design.  These are exciting times to say the least.  I can really see this beach bar doing good things for us and even better things for the promotion of Barbuda.

My latest project is learning how to edit video.  I feel this is important since it’s the part of production that takes the most time and it will allow me to relieve some of the pressure off my Fiancee.  We have both been busy in front of the computer working on completing the final episodes of season one of Cypher.  It’s been a nice voyage so far and for season two we plan to take Cypher to even higher levels.  Check out our latest interview with T.Dot producer Marco Polo and Emcee Torae from NY.  These guys are on some classic boom bap attack, giving that rah rah feeling back to Hip Hop.  Double Barrel is the name of their latest album so if you haven’t already copped that, then what you waiting for?

The Pressure of Valentines Day

Whad up Fam:

Honestly I don’t give a rats ass about Valentines Day.  I don’t need some red head kid in a skirt with a bow and arrow to make me fall in love.  I think its another way of getting people to spend money on stupid shit.  Look at Easter and the Easter Bunny.  They got kids believing bunny’s lay eggs, and they got us running around to buy chocolate and baskets to put them in.  Don’t even get me started on Santa Claus or Halloween.  But then again I got a special place in my heart for Halloween, cause it gives girls an excuse to dress up in sexy, skimpy outfits without being labeled a slut. Gotta love that!

Fellas the truth is if your on top of your game you treat your lady special without being told to do so.  You know what your lady likes and you please her often, so when Valentines Day comes you can laugh at all the fools scrambling to buy heart shaped candy and roses at $12 a stem.   I’m speaking from experience, cause my lady and I have been a couple for over 8 years and I have yet to do anything special for her on Valentines Day.  I treat her special often, but I spread it out so I don’t look like I’m pussy whipped.  You know what I mean?  It’s all about the balance!

But not all women are the same and not all men are on top of their game.  So if your in one of those situations where your lady is anticipating something special, then you better do something about it before someone else does.  Taking your lady out to a nice restaurant and buying a rose or two, combined with a carefully written message in a card can do the job.  Best of all there is no effort required in doing that, but honestly a restaurant dinner and a rose is nothing original. True effort gets true results, and nothing says you’ve put in the effort more than cooking a meal for your woman. Especially if you don’t know how to cook!  This means you would have had to really study to get things right.  A good woman would appreciate that type of effort, trust me on this one!

As always I got your back so check out my recipe page, and good luck!

Barbuda Calm!

Whad Up Fam:

I’ve been in the Caribbean paradise island of Barbuda for the last few months now, and I’m feeling quite nice.  Been spending lots of time outside and eating good.  Been cooking all the seafood I could get my hands on.  Learned more about cooking conch and I’ve been going back to the basics of cooking with one pot on a coal fire.

Before I make my way back to city life, I’m planning on doing a short series with the farmers here.  They are my number one source of inspiration and I’ve always wanted to walk around a farm and select produce from right out of the ground.  Doesn’t get much fresher than that!  Plus these farmers down here know so much, and it shows in the quality.  Look at the size of that Sour Sop!!!!

Since the last update a few more episodes of Cypher have aired.  Being a part of this show is like a dream come true.  I get to meet all the hip hop legends I grew up listening too, plus shed some light on the future talent in the industry. I really like this interview we did with Duxx from Concrete Guerilla Clothing.  We follwed him on a photo shoot through the underground of T.dot to ask him a few questions on what it takes to make it in the Hip Hop gear market.  Check out the video bellow and remember not to forget about Haiti!
